The San Project is a community-led care initiative created to offer small moments of dignity, comfort, and connection through gentle nail care.

We believe that care should feel human, not rushed — and that even the simplest acts of kindness can help people feel seen and supported.

Our work is rooted in patience, respect, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel cared for, regardless of circumstance.

Our mission is to provide free nail care to shelters, community homes, and care spaces where dignity and kindness matter.

We believe that small moments of care can help people feel seen, respected, and supported — and that community begins when we show up for one another.

This work is led with intention, gentleness, and a deep respect for the people we serve.

The San Project is a mobile service offering free, gentle nail care in community spaces across Melbourne.

Each session is slow, respectful, and centred around comfort and choice.

Our basic nail care includes trimming, cleaning, gentle buffing, and the option of colour or simple nail art.

We use hygienic practices and work with care at every step.

This service is for women, teens, and elders — and for those who may face barriers to accessing care.

We partner with shelters, community homes,

and care spaces to bring gentle nail care directly into the places where it is needed most.

Our approach is collaborative, respectful, and rooted in community.

We work alongside organisations who share our values of dignity, kindness, and care.

If you believe our mission aligns with yours, let's connect.
